Update 07/14/2009

As I am writing this email, I am thinking about how truly blessed we are. In these hard times, we still have supportive family and friends to get us through these rough patches, as well as be excited with us in these joyous times. Thank you for everything you guys have done for us.
Aiden is doing GREAT. He is getting so big and learning something new everyday. It has just amazed us how smart he is becoming. As far as Aiden's health, he is having the reconstructive surgery on Monday, July 20th. Dr. Kolligian (Urologist), the same doctor who performed Aiden's surgery when he was 3 weeks old, will be performing the surgery. Please keep Aiden and Dr. Kolligian in your prayers. Pray that the Lord will guide Dr. Kolligian's hands through this surgery. Also, please keep myself, as well as Mike in your prayers. This is a very difficult time for us. To have to see our little boy go through something so BIG and something that we cannot control, is hard to take in. We completely have all faith in Dr. Kolligian and his staff. They have said that Aiden's recovery time will be 3-5 days. So, please pray that Aiden will have calmness while at the hospital so he can heal, and get through the hospital stay without any complications.
As far as my pregnancy, I am 18 weeks along. I went to the Dr. yesterday and had an ultrasound. They checked the baby's kidneys, along with every other vital organ, and everything looks beautiful. The baby looks healthy and is growing ahead of schedule. We are happy to announce that Aiden will have a little sister. We are so excited! Aiden is already calling her "sissy". My due date is Dec. 15th. Please continue to pray that this pregnancy goes as planned, with no complications. It makes us a little nervous, because with Aiden we found out towards the end of the pregnancy that he had the urinary tract issues. They did tell us that that Aiden's diagnosis is typically in boys. So, that was encouraging. As far as my health, everything is perfect. My blood pressure did spike a little but as expected in a pregnancy. They changed my prescription and everything has been excellent since.

We hope everyone had a excellent and safe 4th of July. Thank you again for everything that all of you have done for us. It is just overwhelming the amount of support and love we have.

Love-Mike, Jaime, Aiden and "Sissy"
